Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Henry is a conservatory trained musician and fundraising executive who dedicated his nonprofit career to improving the safety, health outcomes, and disparities of the poor and underserved. Working for and collaborating with leading charities and international nongovernmental organizations allowed him to travel and be of service to communities from around the globe. In 2017, Henry started a journey within—facing the causes and conditions which lead to his struggles with mind altering substances and patterns of self-destructive behaviors—bringing him to the healing desert of Palm Springs.
He is grateful for many compassionate mental health professionals and courageous me and women in recovery whose vulnerability taught him great pain does not erase goodness but informs it. Today, Henry has a life full of happiness, adventure and joy—and is honored to join the Mental Wellness PS team as a resident aide. He hopes by sharing his recovery journey with clients he will evoke confidence in their ability to rise above the stigma of a mental health diagnosis. An active member of the recovery community, Henry finds balance today through a daily mindfulness/ meditation practice, yoga, and reconnecting to his musical roots through the ancient practice of Kirtan.
